Dietary medications are typically injected subcutaneously (under the skin) using a syringe. When injecting around the waist area, you can gently pinch a fold of skin to create a small area of lifted tissue, then insert the needle at a 90-degree angle into this pinched area. The excess skin around the waist provides a convenient injection site because it's easily accessible and has adequate subcutaneous fat for proper medication absorption. After injection, release the skin fold and apply gentle pressure to the injection site if needed, rotating injection locations on both sides of your waist within the area to prevent tissue irritation.
